If anyone knows a Chinese parents' thoughts on soup I wish they would enlighten me he he! My dear mother always gets me to drink some sort of concoction when I'm home which is meant to be "good for you". To keep her happy I consume whatever she puts in front of me...
There are times you need to feel part of a family unit. There are occasions when you need space away from your loved ones. Most people need the company of others but we all need time for ourselves.
Life hasn't been as smooth as I have wished it to be. A few people close to me have gone (my insides tighten each time I think of it... I want to follow but my dutiful self won't allow me. It's not that I'm not enjoying life. The fact I'm not sure of my future makes me worry. There isn't one person who understands me...there are a group of people who know me but not a single person. This isn't a gripe. More an observation as I'm getting older I have different sets of friends to enjoy my different interests with (also as ageing happens so the lose of familiar faces disappear)...
Wow! My life today.....

Days can be crazy when you're not in the right place. I'm happy despite everyone around me worrying about my well being. Life has been odd but I've been relatively happy doing things I enjoy.
Volunteering has been my prime goal. Since being made redundant (twice) from Filofax I decided a change of pace was needed. I wanted to give back to the community plus get my health back on track. Money is a great obsticle in all I wish to do but this "gap year" I've achieved more than I imagined my little head could cope with.
I liked Filofaxes before I started working for the company. The first Filofax I remember having was a Personal Windsor Zip. It's probably in one of those boxes stored at my parents' house. Previous to that I had a "fake" one. After begging my parents for one they finally gave in but the gift had to be for Christmas & my birthday. They cost quite alot way back then. I was so happy when it arrived into my hands. From that day on everywhere I went the Filofax followed.
Knitting is an interest which absorbs my creative flow. The smaller the better is my moto when knitting. My favourite things to knit are HumanBeans....these tiny cute creatures are all different. I like making them & often give them to people asking they donate money to my favourite charity. I adore my Mini Topaz so much I knitted him a "sleeping bag" to keep him safe from harm (I sound crazy now oops!) The pocket protects the leather when I throw him into my bag.
The one thing which annoys me currently are friends & family claiming they don't kow of a valid reason why I should be single. I can.... the men I meet aren't suitable lol!
My love of stationery has lead me to my little shop.... Shop In A Bag. Strange name though the act items have an unpredictable shelf life but the range fits into a bag. Like others I hope my idea is a success so I can continue in purchasing more things I like. My biggest ideal is to cover my living expenses without being tied to a certain company/employer so I can continue with the charity volunteering I do (teaching English to non-English speaking people & running workshops at the Family Craft mornings at the community space, visits to the hospice & helping at the food bank). I'm finanically not able to help but I assist by donating my time.
Adding to my ever increasing tasks I also tutor my two godsons in Maths... as a reward they get to make pizzas, cupcakes or sushi rolls. My little people will be well rounded men (to which I don't mean chubby lol!!)
